Michelle is known for her visionary leadership in K-12 education. She has been nominated for the Alberta Excellence in Teaching Award and has spoken at many national and international conferences in regard to educational technology implementation. Michelle enjoys challenges and change, she has been a K-12 Teacher/Administrator both in a traditional and online setting, Curriculum Coordinator, Technology Director, and has taught at a college and Graduate level with Red Deer College and City University of Seattle. All of these positions have given her outstanding skills, background knowledge, and the experience needed to be an outstanding 21st Century leader. Michelle's passion is teaching teachers how to create an engaging classroom environment where all students are able to achieve success.
Michelle graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Alberta. She obtained her Master of Education Technology Degree from the University of Calgary and continued with graduate courses with the City University of Seattle and Neuman Theological College. She served as the CEO for ICTS Corporation a technology Consulting company for eleven years, and has trained staff at a national level. Michelle has recently been trained in Cognitive Coaching and continues to consult as an Instructional Designer and Developer. In her spare time, she likes to golf, hike, forage, and spend time with family.
